finally over this freaking cold! Now maybe the new year will actually start going in the right direction for me…

Life has been fucking nuts lately. And I was praying that the new year would start off on a much better foot. And actually, it was starting to look that way when my boss told me I would have New Year’s Eve and Day off. I get my schedule for next week today and what do I happen to see? I’m working New Year’s Eve, and I’m on-call New Year’s Day. The thing that really pisses me off is that I get out of work early enough on New Year’s Eve to be able to drive the 2 hours away that my boyfriend lives, and get there at a decent time. Unfortunately, I won’t know if I’m working New Year’s Day until New Year’s Day, so I’m basically stuck at home until I know if I’m working or not. And dammit, I will be BEYOND pissed off if I don’t end up working New Year’s Day because that means I didn’t get to spend New Year’s Eve with my boyfriend. I’m already pissed that, as of now, I won’t get to see him until about 7p-ish New Year’s Day.

And before she told me that I would have both days off, she told me that she was making the schedule for both days so that if you ended up working New Year’s Eve, you would have New Year’s Day off, and vice versa. I don’t even have THAT fucking option anymore. I’m really beyond annoyed off that, as of right now, I won’t be able to spend New Year’s Eve with my boyfriend. I will, however, be getting beyond pissed on New Year’s Eve…and hopefully, I will forget who the hell I am for a few hours of my life.

I just want to blink my eyes and have all of the holiday madness go away. As sad as it is to say, there’s been nothing that’s gotten me in the Christmas spirit this year, and this is one of my absolute favourite holidays. But…that being said, I really do hope that everyone else is enjoying the holidays, and has a wonderful Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate).
